Victims of the Rope covers all 187 of the judicial hangings carried out in what was originally the Colony of Victoria, and also after statehood. The last man executed (in 1967) was Ronald Ryan. We chose type and borders to fit the era in which some of the most notorious executions took place, and the image shows Ned Kelly about to meet his end.
